ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Architect NTU of Athens (1989). He received his Master of Architecture in the Urban Landscape, from University of Southern California, Los Angeles (1991). He worked as Junior Designer/apprentice at various architectural firms in Athens and in Los Angeles (1983-1991), as Show/Set Designer at Supertek Productions, Los Angeles (1991-92) and as Show/Set Designer at MCA/Universal Studios Hollywood (1992-93). He worked as a Project Architect at “J. Vikelas and Assoc.”(1993-94). He also worked as Project architect as a member of “Theros Architecture” (1994-98), being chief designer for a variety of projects (houses, cinemas, theaters, industrial and commercial facilities). He collaborated with Kisho Kurokawa Assoc., (Embassy of Japan, Athens, 2003). He received three first, two fourth prizes and four commendations in Panhellenic and European architectural competitions. He received a Commendation in European Competition “Zephyr–Passive Cooling Techniques” (1994). He won a PhD candidate scholarship (1997). Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architectural Design and Building Technology at Dept. of Architecture, University of Patras (2000-04, 2009-11) where he had elected as tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2010, and Democritus University (2005-06). Visiting Lecturer at DCG (Dept. of Architecture, Drury University, Mo., U.S.A., 2006-07). Assistant Professor of Architectural Design and Building Technology at Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus (2011-2014), where he also taught courses on Urban Design and on Building Physics. Today he is an Assistant Professor of Architectural Design and Building Technology at Dept. of Architecture, University of Patras, appointed in 2014. He has participated in thesis and project review committees at several Universities and also participated in Architectural Competitions Committees in Greece and in Cyprus. He has been supervising several Summer Architectural Workshops in Greece and in Cyprus. His work and articles have been published and exhibited in publications, exhibitions and books in Greece and abroad. Co-founder, with architect Helen Katsoufis, of “ONOFFICE environmental architecture” private practice in Athens, focused on Competitions, bioclimatic houses, and schools (1998-today). Member of Do.Co.Mo.Mo., Technical Chamber of Greece, Technical Champer of Cyprus, Architectural Associations in Greece and Cyprus and Int’l Associate AIA (American Institute of Architects)
