Dimitris Theodoropoulos studied architecture in the National Technical University of Athens (Diploma of Architecture, 2005) and continued in the masters “Research in Architecture: Design – Space – Culture” (MArch, 2008).

In 2005, he established the architectural practice ‘hiboux’ in collaboration with Maria Tsigara and Marianna Xyntaraki. They have been awarded in several competitions and been awarded with the Best Completed Work in Greek Architecture Awards 2022 and nominated for EUMies Awards 2024 for the work 'vacation house in an olive grove in Meganisi”. The practice spans from private commissions to competitions, set design and research. He has co-authored the set for ‘inside’ and ‘still life” by Dimitris Papaioannou dance pieces. He has designed and curated several exhibitions and in 2021 he found the programm CARR, Chios Art & Research Retreat.

He is a founding member of the artist collective ‘errands group’ who has participated in several international exhibitions with researches around spatial and architectural practices. 7 Sao Paolo biennal, 2 Athens Biennial, 1 Istanbul design biennial, Gardentopia - Matera Cultural Capital of Europe, Eleusis Cultural Capital of Europe, et. al.

He has participated in several group initiatives and projects among them ‘Meta platform for perfoming arts’, ‘Diolkoi’, ‘Construcing Siesta’ and ‘Werkraum’.

Since 2015 he has been teaching in Aristotle Univ of Thessaloniki and Tinos School of Fine Arts and currently in UPatras Architecture Dept.

His practice is built on collaborations and artistic dialogues resulting in co-authored works.
