The mass flow from suburban areas to the city center, in order to rehabitate it, brings forward a need for redefinition of its identity, not only by people, but by architects too.

The habitation model is reconsidered, and by the way it is carried out, it cuts out city pieces, in an “object” creation.

Thus, a compact dwelling block is designed, as a comment on the situation. Including all the facets of dwelling, housing, work, service, free time and entertainment, it becomes purely urban, with all the activities within a city. Although, it cannot but be too self-sufficient as well, existing as an “object” in the city, more than a vital part of it.

Use flexibility of the modern greek polykatoikia, turns from an advantage, to a flaw.
