Marking the completion of the Athens Urban Age Task Force initiative, this event will explore the future liveability and sustainability of Greece’s capital city.
Professor Ricky Burdett, Director of LSE Cities will present new in-depth analysis comparing Athens with other global cities and offering insights into spatial, social, economic and environmental attributes at a metropolitan and local level.
Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis will be joined by local and international experts to discuss innovation and best practice in Urban policy and design.
In its current post-pandemic phase, the city is making new investments in its urban infrastructure and public realm to improve the quality of life and reverse recent population decline. The Athens Urban Age Task Force has been designed to contribute to this urban renaissance.
